The Youth Forum
Who are we?
We are young people from Falkensee and surrounding from the ages 0 to 27. Together we are the Youth Forum Falkensee
What do we do?
We advocate the dreams and ideas of young people in Falkensee. One of our main interests is to support your projects financially and help you plan them. However we also organise events and activities for teenagers ourselves. Thats how we want to strengthen tolerance and diversity in Falkensee.
When do we meet?
We meet every two weeks. Our meetings are public and everyone is welcome to join and acively participate. Three times a year we organise a youth ference where we share ideas, set our focus for the next months and develop new projects. Whenever we meet, one thing is sure: everyone is always welcome!
Where do we meet?
Our meetings are in the "Schuppen" (engl.: shed). Thats our room in the building next to the "Haus am Anger". You find it in the Falkenhagener Straße 16.
Why are we doing this?
Our goal is to actively shape the life in Falkensee. We want a city that is interesting for young people. A city where their voices are heard. We want Falkensee to be a city where tolerance and diversity are celebrated.
How do we make this happen?
We meet regularly to talk about the next projects, events and the opinions of young people in our town. Everyone can participate and present their ideas and develop them with us. Together we plan and implement our projects. For this purpose we have a fund at our disposal. Past projects were for example a panel discussion ahead of the federal elections 2017 or the expansion of the skater park at the Rosentunnel.
Who supports us?
The Youth Forum gets supported by the city of Falkensee and is a part of the Partnership for Democracy Falkensee. The latter is funded by the federal programme "Demokratie leben!" (eng.: Live Democracy) of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. Furthermore we are a working group of the Lokale Agenda 21.
Our goal as Youth Form is to shape the life in Falkensee. To do that we are always looking to find new members and further improve the Youth Forum.
